We process and ship orders on weekdays during the hours of 9am-3pm. All orders received outside of those hours will be processed and shipped the follow business day.


Standard UPS Ground Shipping rates apply. All shipping rates are calculated from our shop in Connecticut. If we do not have your requested product on hand, there will be no additional charge for standard shipment from the manufacturers warehouse.


Items returned after 30 days will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. No returns will be accepted after 60 days. All items must be returned in the original containers.

Where does The Color Shop ship from?

We’re located along the beautiful gold coast of Connecticut in Bridgeport. Our shop is always open to walk-ins during the week!

When will my order ship and how long does it take?

Processing in-house shipments takes 1 to 2 business days (but most orders received before 3pm are processed and sent out that same business day). You’ll get a shipment notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package ships. If an item is needing to be drop shipped from one of our manufacturers, please allow up to 3 days for the order to process.

How to determine your LEVEL of expertise when choose

Newcomer : little to no attempts at faux finishes, but eager and ready to learn

Acquaintance : dabbled here and there, willing to explore a little further

Patron : steadily been trying new project on the reg, looking to dive deeper

Professional : been around the block and looking to freshen up the portfolio

I’m having trouble with my tracking.

Sorry about that! Occasionally, the shipping carrier takes an extra day or two to register your shipment status. If your tracking number isn’t updating or working, please reach out as soon as you can at products@thecolorshop.us and we’ll get things squared away.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you’d like to make any changes to your recently completed order, send us a note at products@thecolorshop.us as soon as possible. We try to be as speedy as possible, so our fulfillment center processes orders quickly. The sooner you reach out to us, the better!

How do I initiate a return?

There are one of two ways you can initiate a return: 1) Sign into your account thru TCS and click “Return” from your previous order OR 2) Just reach out to us at products@thecolorshop.us with your order number and the products you’d like to exchange or return and we’ll get back in touch with reimbursement details.

Will shipping charges be refunded?

If there is an order error on our part, we will refund and cover shipping costs. However, any returns initiated by a costumers because of over ordering, ordering the wrong product or size, etc will not be eligible for shipping reimbursement.

What if I need help on how to use a product?

You can always drop us an email at products@thecolorshop.us with your questions and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours.
